our greatest pains can be our biggest teachers
If you want to experience ecstatic pleasure and aliveness in your intimacy, sexuality and embodied experience of life - I encourage you to learn about and befriend your fears and wounds.
Meeting our greatest pain and places of fear, numbness, shame and limiting beliefs is crucial for:
greater self compassion
developing self awareness
learning how to be vulnerable with self and in relationship
not expecting ourselves and our lovers/beloveds to be perfect
creating emotional range (meaningful conversations about life and experiences not surface-level chit chat)
depth of connection
a greater capacity to be present with someone else’s emotions
being emotionally literate and comfortable with our humanity
feeling free to express fully in sex and not perform out of fear of exposure of true emotion
learning the somatic language of the body (ie instead of conversation eg ‘I’m okay’, ‘I'm good, ‘I'm fine…’ —-> ‘I'm experiencing grief’, ‘I feel excited’, ‘when you touch my arm I feel arousal’, ‘I'm feeling pain in my heart’, ‘I feel anxiety in my tummy’.
I speak with Bonny Tydeman about the core woundings of the personality and the soul and how our greatest pain can be our biggest teacher and doorway to a more beautiful life.
